This collaboration between Florence + The Machine and one of my all time favorite bands, The XX, puts me right where I always want to between. A flawless combination of the darker, subdued style of The XX and the power vocals of Florence Welch create a silly good track. Enjoy.
“Intro”, from The xx, sets the stage for a truly galvanizing album. My friend, Justin, introduced this London group to me during the drive to Indio, CA for Coachella 2009. This track hooked me and I was inspired by familiar feelings of the homogeny that music creates. The songs that follow Intro paint the picture of the struggles faced by those of us in and out of love.
I had the pleasure of being in the thick of The xx following during Coachella and their music is especially powerful in full sound. Their sunset set is a memory forever entrenched in my mind. Enjoy.
